The optical digital input (selectable through the DRC HE remote control and from the “Optical / AUX select” terminal) nullifies interferences and signal deteriorations also by-passing the analog signals A/D conversion stages.  Thanks to the configuration Wizard provided by the software during the set-up, the H8 DSP can automatically sum up multiple filtered channels (for instance, woofer plus tweeter), “flatten” the OEM source equalized response curve and reconstruct a centre, rear and/or subwoofer channel with a simple stereo input. By reading the test track on the CD provided, the H8 DSP recreates a full-bandwidth signal, with a flat frequency response and released after processing for an outstanding sound quality.  The H8 DSP features 8 PRE OUT analog outputs each of them including: a 31 band equalizer, a 68 step electronic crossover, Linkwitz- Riley or Butterworth filters with selectable 6 – 24 dB adjustable slopes and digital time delay functions.

Developed according to specific ergonomics criteria required by the Car Audio industry, the PC software facilitates direct access to all the available functions for the signal treatment, providing immediate results, as well as extreme operational accuracy. Setting the parameters of each input single channel, adjusting the delays according to the listening position, tuning the crossovers and equalizers for each output channel; these are just some of the operations that can be managed by the PC software based on Windows platform (XP, Vista, 7,8, 10) to be used in Standard or Expert mode.

The PC software is available in English, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean. The user can select the language and the change will be applied to the drop-down menus as well as to the Context Help messages. The number of available languages will increase: once updates are available, they will be downloadable from the bit Drive portal (www.bitDrive.it).

The provided DRC HE enables the main system control without the use of a PC. Thanks to this device, installed in an ergonomic position within the car dashboard, the user can: choose between two “tuning” configurations previously saved using the PC software; select the source from the master, auxiliary and optical digital inputs ; adjust main system functions (volume, balance, fader and subwoofer volume).

Hertz H8 DSP car audio processor is capable of interfacing with any analog and/or digital source, transforming ordinary “audio” into a high-performance integrated system. The simple and intuitive computer software ensures a wide array of adjustments to improve the acoustic response of a complex environment like the car compartment. It provides 7 signal inputs with a variety of connection options: four high-level inputs, also accepting low-level pre-amplified signals; a stereo auxiliary input and an optical digital input accepting signals at a sample rate up to 96/24 bit.

The MPCX 2 TM.3 car audio crossover is specifically developed for MP 70.3 and MP 25.3 when installed in a 3-way multi-amplification system and combined with an MP 165.3/ MP 165P.3 woofer actively driven.

1. Two-position (0 / +2 dB) switch for tweeter level adjustments, to fine-tune the transducers emission.

2. 160V extremely high quality bi-metallized polyester film capacitors with ultra-low DF, for maximum sound transparency and neat mid/hi-frequencies.

3. 1mm pure copper wire low series resistance inductors, for low dissipation losses in the mid-range section where high transient currents are demanded.

4. Small footprint design for easy installation, with top vent grille for efficient heat dissipation.

5. Passive crossover specifically developed for MP 70.3 and MP 25.3 when installed in a 3-way multi-amplification system and combined with an MP 165.3/ MP 165P.3 woofer actively driven.

Hertz MLCX 2 TW.3  car audio crossover provides the ability to realize a bi-amplified system, that is, to connect two amplifiers, or anyway two separate channels, to the crossover, so making it possible to drive woofer and tweeter separately.

The significant power increase with this configuration highlights all the features of the MLK 1650.3 Legend system, with all the advantages coming from the multi-amplification. Besides, thanks to the Mid-Contour and Hi-Contour controls, dedicated to the management of woofer cut-off frequency and tweeter cut-off frequency respectively, the cross-point can be varied. Through each of these two Contour controls, featuring a two-position selector, the system frequency response can be fine-tuned, adjusting it according to the different acoustics of the cars and the different speaker placements and, most of all, the listener can achieve their favorite sound.

3. Hi-Contour two-position control, to select the tweeter hi-pass crossover point selection according to the tweeter position/angle towards the listener.

4. Mid-Contour in conjunction with Hi-Contour provides the ability to use MLCX 2 TW.3 to build a two way system based on ML 1650.3 or ML 1800.3 woofer together with ML 280.3 tweeter.

5. Three-position switch for tweeter level adjustments in 2 dB steps, to fine-tune the transducers emission.

6. Hi-Boost control, selectable through appropriate switch, to provide better linearity of the tweeter emission above 10kHz when positioned not on axis to with the listener.

7. Extremely high quality bi-metallized 160V polyester film capacitors with ultra-low DF, for maximum sound transparency and neat mid/hi-frequencies.

8. Air wound inductors built on pure copper-wire with up to 1mm diameter, for high saturation threshold of the magnetic flux and low losses on the woofer section where high transient currents are demanded.

9. High power rating Wirewound resistors, to ensure performance stability even at high operating temperature. The Wirewound build construction grants low parasitic series inductance thus reducing losses at high frequencies, especially for resistors in series to the tweeter.
